Action for a Better Community, Inc., (ABC) is a Community Action Agency that promotes and provides opportunities for low-income individuals and families to become self-sufficient. ABC provides the community with a wide array of programs and services. Through these programs people find ways to shape their environment and play a role in community building; receive assistance obtaining quality affordable healthcare insurance; protect themselves against the impacts of sexually transmitted diseases, alcoholism, and drug addictions; train to gain employment; access the installation of energy efficient equipment to assure safe and comfortable homes; assist youth to make positive life-style decisions which can lead to a mature and safe adulthood; purchase quality low-cost computer equipment; and excel through early childhood and preschool education. As challenges to economic growth and stability increase, ABC's programs and services are more crucial than ever. ABC's goal to continue to expand its ability to serve increasing numbers of low-income people relies on your participation.
