Mary’s Place Refugee Outreach is a nonprofit located on Lexington Avenue in NW Rochester.
We offer free programs and services to resettled refugees in Rochester.
We are open 11:00 – 4:00 Monday –Friday.
In 2022,
Mary's Place delivered food to 1178 people weekly and hygiene products to them monthly
Provided 1 on 1 case management to over 228 people
Completed 84 Naturalization and Green Card applications
Added a full-time Director of Social Work with decades of experience
Programs and Services:
• English Classes and Tutoring
o Daily Adult English language classes M-F
o Small group or one-on-one tutoring focused on reading, writing, and citizenship test preparation.
• Case Management
o One-on-one social work services daily Monday-Friday
o Collaboration with Nazareth College and SUNY Brockport during Fall/Spring semesters
• Food and Clothing Distribution
o Contactless Food Delivery
• Immigration Support Services
o Provide qualified assistance and representation as refugees and asylees apply for and receive Legal Permanent Residency (green card) and Citizenship
• Birthday Party
o December party for adults and children affiliated with Mary’s Place
o Distribution of over 300 toys, warm weather accessories, and other gifts
• Backpack Distribution
o Distribution of over 360 backpacks, school supplies, and other items.
