RocKats is a certified Rescue group whose primary mission is to spay, neuter, and vaccinate unowned cats in the city of Rochester. Ferals are returned to their managed colonies whereas friendly cats are kept to find new homes. By sterilizing unowned outdoor cats we strive to reduce the number of cats in the city and make the lives of people near the cats easier by reducing fighting, noise, and smells that intact cats will demonstrate. RocKats uses all donations for spay/neuter and associated veterinary care. With over 350 cats already sterilized this year, continued monetary support will allow us to find a heated holding space to house cats before and after surgery and pay for food, litter, shelters, and medicine.
