Rochester Refugee Resettlement Services, Inc. (RRRS) is a nonprofit 501©3 corporation whose mission is: "collaborating to provide services and opportunities to ensure assimilation of refugees and asylum seekers into our society by providing assistance as they strive to be self-sustaining neighbors while still maintaining their own cultural heritage."
RRRS follows a social enterprise model by primarily self-funding through ownership and/or management of 85 rental units designated for refugee families, with residual income to cover a portion of operating overhead. Programs include support services to help them acclimate to life in Rochester, including computer classes, English tutoring, youth services, employment opportunities and referrals for legal assistance, food and clothing. The most recent activities in need of financial support provide health and wellness for families, mental health counseling for victims of trauma and case management for asylum seekers.
