Rochester Spinal Association formed in 1991 when a group of inspired and motivated individuals joined forces to address the needs of people living with spinal cord injuries.
Known formerly as the Rochester Chapter of NSCIA (National Spinal Cord Injury Association), Rochester Spinal Association has re-grouped with a new found energy to help change the lives of those affected by spinal cord disability. Our Board of Directors brings great talent from a wide spectrum of backgrounds in a unified effort to make a difference for the thousands of individuals whose lives have been changed by spinal cord injuries and other spinal cord related disabilities.
RSA provides a number of supports to people in our community, including:
- monthly support meetings
- peer visits with newly injured individuals
- recreational opportunities
- dispersing grant funds to enhance the quality of life of individuals living with SCI/D, and
- dispersing grant funds to enhance the health and wellness of individuals with SCI and their caregivers.
