Waging War Ministries

Waging War Ministries is a community development ministry that aims to help the hurting community in any way possible. Our acts of service are diverse, but all are geared towards empowering and providing hope to the community. Some of our services include: Feeding the community: providing food to those in need Community engagement: restoring hope in victimized and compromised communities affected by crime, drugs, and violence Citywide revivals: services that bring our faith and hurt community together to be empowered Worship in the park: selecting different parks within the Rochester area to speak life and faith in the area Door-to-door mission: walking the streets of our community and knocking on doors to offer assistance and prayer Citywide baptism: baptizing hundreds in the Irondequoit Bay and planting them in the church for more character development Our current focus is to purchase a building that will allow us to continue and expand our services to the community. We have a campaign in place to help us get a building, in hopes to build a community garden, which will serve as a safe and affordable place for community members to pick their own crops. This garden will bring families closer together as they harvest together and also educate them on the importance of eating healthy. We also hope to establish a development center for our youth and teens that will teach them leadership skills. We need as much help as we can get to acquire the land/building. We have started at a great place and now need a bigger space we can call home. We would appreciate it if Unity Way could assist us in any way possible.
